Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum two (2) years housekeeping experience

  • Resort housekeeping and supervisory experience helpful

  • High School Diploma or equivalent credentials

  • College degree preferred

  • Knowledge of Spanish desirable but not essential

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Valid Georgia Driver's License

  • Company policy requires that one must be 21 years of ago or older to drive a company vehicle

  • Basic proficiency in Windows XP and Microsoft Office software applications such as: Word, Excel, and Outlook helpful

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Open and close office as assigned

  • Assist in interviewing candidates for open positions

  • Assist with establishing housekeeping weekly staff schedules

  • Maintain drivers and laundry driver's schedule

  • Ensure all Cottage Rentals employees driving a company vehicle keep a class "B" license maintained by HR

  • Conduct a kick off (DSQ) meeting every morning

  • Supervise Cottage Housekeeping staff in the absence of the manager

  • Support and assist Cottage Housekeeping in performing cleaning services for special projects and off-sight areas (special housing areas)

  • Assist in training and development of new and present employees in and safe and proper handling, use and application of Cottage Housekeeping equipment, materials and supplies

  • Assist with performance evaluations & reviews for department staff

  • Maintain accurate linen inventory of cottages and ensure that all linens are delivered and picked up on time

  • Supervise and assist with general cleaning of cottages

  • Inspect owner/rental properties

  • Responsible for inspecting owner/rental cottages in a timely manner

  • Inspect cleanliness of all cottages to ensure company standards

  • Timely scheduling and completion of interaction with the cottage Owner/Renters

  • concerning any issues

  • Maintain Hotsos maintenance inspection reports of all cottages and follow up to assure the repairs are complete and meet with Sea Island standards

  • Maintain Hotsos inspection forms on each housekeeper (job performance) with a minimum of 4 inspections per day

  • Provide clear and concise feedback to team members concerning job performance on a monthly basis with inspection reports for team member

  • Assist in the creation, planning and implementation of department programs, procedures and employee goals

  • Responsible for performance review with employees to review job and goals performance

  • Responsible for coaching and counseling employees on job performance

  • Responsible for updating the Office Coordinator on cottage status

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up to date Task Inventory and Breakdowns per position

  • Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and Members

  • Ensure all team members are in accordance with grooming standards and dres code policies on a daily basis

  • Ensure all lost and found items are handled according to policy

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining recognition programs

  • Assist the department in reaching financial goals

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one's ability

  • If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)

  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas

  • Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing

  • Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures

  • Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately

  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement

  • Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods
