Job Title: ROOM ATTENDANT

Department: Housekeeping

Reports To: Executive Housekeeper

Rate of Pay: $17.00/ Hour Training Rate, Up to $19.00/ Hour depending on productivity

Shift: Variable Shifts Monday - Sunday

SUMMARY

Responsible for creating a sense of arrival for lodging guests by ensuring the cleanliness of the lodging units. Provide stayover service which enhances the guest experience. Closely follows Sundance Housekeeping protocols for cleanliness and safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Check out keys and radios from Safety.

Organize supplies for the day.

Ensure products are used to manufacturer's standard and OSHA standards.

Alert housekeeping supervisors which room is being cleaned by dialing the appropriate code on the lodging unit phone.

Change the linens on the beds and in the bathrooms.

Clean bathrooms in accordance with housekeeping procedures: showers, tubs, sinks, toilets, counters, mirrors, and floors.

Place amenities in lodging units: soap, coffee, creamers, cocoa, teas, etc. Leave bulk amenity bottles out if Supervisor needs to refill.

Clean the kitchens-refrigerator, sinks, dishes, and counter tops.

Dust.

Remove all trash and recycling. Separate recyclables from trash and place them in appropriate receptacles.

Vacuum.

Report any broken items to supervisor.

Report maintenance issues to PBX.

Alert housekeeping supervisors that they are leaving the room by dialing the appropriate code on the lodging unit phone and/or via radio.

Comply with Sundance's no-idling policy when driving a Sundance vehicle.

Support the recycling program and educating guests as needed.

Share the Sundance story of land preservation and environmental commitment as the occasion arises.

Reach "full efficiency" which is defined as maintaining an average of 80 points for four consecutive weeks.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS

Use of a 2-way radio is frequently required.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

A valid U.S. Drivers' License in good standing as determined by Sundance's Insurance Company guidelines is preferred.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee must be able to work in extreme outdoor weather conditions to move from one lodging unit to another.

The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Must be 18 years of age or older
