Housekeeping & Laundry Assistant Weekends - No Experience Required

Douglas Cove Health and Rehabilitation - $500.00 Sign-On Bonus for Part-time 4% Annual Increase with Micro-Raise Program Douglas Cove Health & Rehabilitation is seeking a Part-Time housekeeper & laundry assistant A housekeeper will clean resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, storage, work rooms, therapy, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, clean toilets, sinks, showers, dust, empty trash & disinfect. A laundry assistant would help facilitate cleaning resident's clothes and facility linen.

General Responsibilities include: Dust ceiling vents, lights, & other areas regularly Disposes of trash and waste, other materials in a safe manner Complete carpet cleaning as scheduled Clean vacant rooms immediately after discharge Assist in room transfers Attend facility in-services and training Assure personal & staff compliance to all State & Federal regulations including blood born pathogen control, use of hazardous materials & fire safety May be required to perform light maintenance, including changing light bulbs, checking call lights Other duties as required Qualifications High school diploma/GED preferred Must be able to communicate effectively (written and oral form) in a care setting with residents, families, staff Must be able to climb, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, reach and carry, stand for extended periods of time and may be required to move furniture Able to respond productively and to handle additional tasks/projects as assigned Ability to detect odors and see spots and spills Ability to move housekeeping cart with cleaning equipment Passion for caring for elderly Preferred Education and Experience: No experience needed, we will train the right individual EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER The Facility is an equal opportunity employer.
