BIG PICTURE:

The Housekeeping Inspector will ensure that the highest standards for cleanliness and sanitation are maintained within each of their assigned guest rooms. Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Executive Housekeeper, the Inspector will conduct thorough and detailed guest room inspections and will execute all other tasks and assignments according to established departmental procedures to ensure a consistent and high quality guest experience.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Inspect all assigned guest rooms using designated checklist and according to established Housekeeping department procedures.

  • Replenish supplies and linens in guest rooms and Housekeeping storage areas and participate in regular inventories to ensure proper par levels.

  • Maintain daily documentation and inventory control reports for each assigned room.

  • Exercise appropriate procedures for key control and guest room security.

  • Immediately report all lost and found items.

  • Promptly report any maintenance issues to the Engineering department.

  • Provide support to Room Attendants by cleaning rooms when necessary.

  • Assist in the on-boarding and training of new employees.

  • Foster effective communication across the housekeeping department.

  • Maintain the integrity of the hotel's compliance with the company's safety and security

programs, particularly for HazMat, Bloodborne Pathogens, MSDS and OSHA.

  • Ensure adherence to all company and brand policies, practices, procedures and guidelines.

  • Anticipate and follow through on guests' service needs.

  • Perform other duties as needed and as directed.

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:

  • Previous hotel Housekeeping experience.

  • Exceptional service orientation, with keen ability to focus and deliver on guest needs.

  • Reliable and responsible character, with exceptional follow up and attention to detail.

  • Proactive approach, with exceptional initiative and problem solving abilities to ensure the highest levels of productivity and guest satisfaction.

  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage numerous priorities within a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience with Hilton brands is a major plus.

  • Schedule flexibility and ability to work extended and/or irregular hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

  • Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

  • Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

Our 103,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries. JOB DESCRIPTION: This opening is for an Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) inspector. This group tests inbound material that will be used to assemble complex medical devices important to the screening of blood for blood banks. Part inspections include individual piece parts from that are machined and molded, preassembled parts consisting of many piece parts, cables, printed material, printed circuit boards, and software. Tools used vary from simple hand-held tools to semi-automated test tools, to fully automated testing tools. This is a highly regulated position and subject to inspection by the FDA and other health authorities. Key competencies for this inspection opening include: * Requires basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5-1994). * Capable of using hand-held inspection tools including; but not necessarily limited to; calipers; micrometers; height gages; and optical comparators; as well as any testers and fixtures that may be appropriate to perform those tasks. * Applies an understanding of cable/harness assembly and printed circuit board assembly to perform visual and dimensional inspections. * Performs inspection on printed material (e.g. Primary and Secondary labeling; manuals; print inserts; CD's; etc.). * Performs First Article Inspections. * Has basic computer knowledge to be able to perform data entry; retrieving; tracking; and logging of data. * Good understanding of engineering drawings and inspection methodology. * Interpersonal skills include ability to communicate in a positive and effective manner to peers; internal and external customers. * Performs needed work activities with minimum supervision. * Must be able to apply proper problem resolution skills. * Accepts and rejects supplier lots based on inspection results. Information gathered used by others to make both critical and strategic decisions. * Ability to use advanced upper level instrumentation such as 3D/2D digital measuring projector and/or optical testing and visualization instruments. Preferred Qualifications: * Well experienced using calipers, micrometers, height gage, Optical comparator, visual inspection of boards and cables and labels * Able to interpret Engineer part drawings * Good understanding of GD&T * Experience using and programming Vision systems, hand held CMM and or automated optical comparator Minimum Education and Experience * Ideally an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science or closely related discipline or equivalent relevant experience to demonstrate equivalence to a Degree; at a minimum High School graduated or equivalent * 0-2 years of experience.
