Position Overview:
Reporting to the Housekeeping department, the Houseperson will ensure the cleanliness and the appearance of all front and back of house areas, is motivated and attentive to provide our guests with a memorable experience at our hotel. We are looking for a multi-talented individual who can perform a variety of tasks. Our ideal candidate has one or more years of previous experience in a houseperson or housekeeping role, and a strong commitment to excellent customer service.
THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION
Job Duties:
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards, and correct maintenance and use of equipment.
Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and lounges.
Assist Room Attendants with stripping vacant rooms including soiled linen and trash as needed at the discretion of management and/or supervisor.
Ensure the highest level of customer service by anticipating and responding quickly to guests' requests.
Deliver linen and supplies to guest floors and remove dirty linen.
Shampoo hallways, rooms, and public areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms.
Report any maintenance issues to management and/or supervisor.
Sweep and wash floors, vacuum carpet, wash walls, dust furniture and fixtures.
Make up and deliver roll-a-way beds. Move furniture, supplies, and equipment.
The ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Hotel data.
Report all maintenance and repair issues to management.
Position Requirements:
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill necessary tasks.
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
Knowledge of health and safety standards and best practices.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications:
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules (including Holidays and weekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
Wage Rate: $29.56 per hour
