Job Description

Position Summary:
The housekeeping host (room attendant) creates an experience for our hotel

guests by offering them a larger than home experience with welcoming, helpful and exceptional

service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable and inviting environment.

Essential functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with

disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1.Clean the assigned room to standards to include changing linen, making the bed,

cleaning the entire bathroom, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, picking up trash,

replenishing guest amenities.
2.Load and organize cart, store properly at the end of each shift.
3.Receive keys and assigned rooms return at the end of each shift.
4.Respond to guest requests and report guest issues.
5.Report any items in need of repair.
6.Follow proper lost and found procedures for items left behind in a guest room.
7.Perform their work in a safe manner.
8.Report to work on time and in proper uniform.
9.Perform other tasks as assigned by management.


Education: no formal education required.

Experience: No previous experience necessary. Previous housekeeping experience desirable.

Hours required: Scheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs. Must be able to work weekends.

  • Ability to read a limited number of two or three syllable words.

  • Ability to communicate with guests.

  • Ability to stand for up long periods of time.

  • Ability to provide friendly guest service with a smile.

  • Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight (minimum of 50 lbs)

VIEW JOBS 1/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-17T00:00 REPORTING TO: Director of Housekeeping POSITION SUMMARY: To provide the highest quality housekeeping service to our Members and guests, while maintaining the service standards set forth by the Housekeeping Management team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform daily scheduled cleaning services as assigned by manager. * Cleans bathrooms and stocks toiletries. * Dusts all furniture, fixtures, woodwork and vents. * Vacuums carpets and spot treats soiled areas. * Sweeps, mops, buffs wood, tile and marble floors. * Polishes all brass including railings, door handles, door plates and all brass fixtures. * Maintains windows and glass both inside and out, between contract cleanings. * Perform thorough deep cleaning of facility as required and scheduled by manager. * Replaces burnt out light bulbs. * Empties wastebaskets. * Launders towels and linens. * Maintain work carts with equipment and supplies. * Ensures equipment and supplies are kept in a neat, orderly and properly functioning matter. * Inventories supplies and equipment. * Inspects work performed and ensures it meets the Club's established specifications and standards. * Inspects club rooms while cleaning and reports back to manger any repairs or damages needed. * Acknowledges Members and guests with a proper greeting and smile. * Any and all other tasks assigned by the Executive Housekeeping Manager or General Manager. Education / Experience * Have a minimum 2 years related experience, preferably in club, hotel, and resort setting * Laundry experience a plus Qualifications * Have a positive outgoing personality * Valid driver's license preferred * Must be able to properly operate a gas or electric powered golf cart Other * Available to work weekends and holidays * Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. * Ability to speak effectively within small groups. * Must be able to speak, read and write English.
