THE JOB:

Mandalay Bay has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Housekeeping Floor Manager! The Housekeeping Floor Manager is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall appearance of facilities under your supervision. You will lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff, establish and maintain cleaning schedules, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Cleaning Operations: Develop and implement cleaning procedures and standards. Ensure all areas of the facility are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained. Oversee inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment.

  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage the housekeeping budget. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. Procure supplies and equipment within budgetary constraints

  • Inventory management: Ordering and maintaining supplies such as cleaning products, linens, and amenities.

  • Quality control: Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service are maintained throughout the facility.

  • Reporting: Keeping records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and inventory levels, and providing regular reports to management.

  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff. Assign duties, set work schedules, and monitor performance. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education experience

  • 2 years of experience in Housekeeping Management, Housekeeping Supervisor, Quality Assurance Manager, Environmental Services Manager, or Laundry Manager

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Familiarity with housekeeping equipment, and industry-specific software systems.

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the housekeeping department of a hotel, resort, or similar hospitality establishment.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts effectively.
