Description and Qualifications

SUMMARY

The Houseperson is an all-purpose position that assists the housekeeping department by maintaining the cleanliness of all guest rooms and common areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Delivers clean linen and supplies to the housekeepers

• Removes soiled linen and trash from the housekeepers

• Delivers dirty glassware from rooms to the dishwasher

• Delivers clean glassware from the dishwasher to the rooms

• Loads supplies for the day

• Attends line-up daily to receive room assignments

• Restocks all housekeeping closets on the property with amenities and linens as necessary

• Make sure carts are cleaned out at the end of the shift and plugged into the charger to be prepared for the next shift

• Keep all pantry items in guest rooms stocked and account for all pantry alcohol sales

• Deep cleans room as needed

Must comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards

Must maintain regular and consistent attendance

Must be able to work well with other Team Members, Managers, and interact with our guests

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Some cleaning experience preferred

Ability to be thorough

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate with guests, team members, and managers

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Basic knowledge and understanding of math

REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The job requires being on your feet all-day

Very physical work, constantly moving around and lifting

Must be able to get on hands and knees

Must be able to lift at least 50lbs

Must be able to operate a golf cart

Must be able to work around cleaning supplies/chemicals

Must be able to move furniture, rolling beds, and cribs as needed

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Moving from room to room cleaning

1,400 acres of High Hampton Property

Must be able to work in all weather conditions
