Crystal Springs Resort is hiring for a Housekeeping Assistant Manager. The Housekeeping Assistant Manager is to assist the Director of Housekeeping in directing the daily operations of housekeeping and laundry to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of the hotel. The assistant manager is responsible for completing inspections and holds staff accountable for high cleanliness standards, as well as for ensuring guest satisfaction. They are to provide inspiring and strategic leadership while directing the activities of the Housekeeping Department in support of the mission, core values, standards and goals established by the company.
Responsibilities:
Obtains list of vacant rooms which need to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check outs in order to prepare work assignments
Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and assists manager with corrective action
Examines rooms, halls, and lobbies to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management
Supports and supervisors and effective inspection program for all guestrooms and public space
Monitor all the daily operations of the hotel rooms and common area housekeeping team daily
Conducts orientation training of new employees to explain company policies, housekeeping work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment
Lead and train staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and property appearance
Ensures all employees are trained, motivated and empowered to deliver total customer satisfaction
Attends periodic staff meetings with other department heads to discuss company policies and guest complaints, and to make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation
Responds positively and quickly to customer concerns. He or she corrects potential problems before they affect customers
Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations are always meeting guest expectations
Have a thorough knowledge of product, including room types, amenities, services and brand standards
All other duties as assigned, planned or un-planned
Requirements:
Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally
Must be able to lift up to 6Kgs/ 13.2Lbs on a regular and continuing basis
Must have the ability to bend, squat and frequently lift 20Lbs and occasionally lift up to 44Lbs
May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 24.25Lbs
Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 198.5Lbs occasionally
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
Three years or more of management experience required
High school or equivalent education required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
