The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning assigned areas of the property so to maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly, and satisfying condition for the residents, employees and public. The incumbent promotes sanitary conditions which prevent the spread of unsanitary conditions and odors. He / She may be required to perform tasks which involve following the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and/or the cleanup of assigned areas of facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintains facility in a clean and sanitary condition through washing, cleaning, mopping floors, and replacement of equipment and furnishings.
Ensure the trash, waste, and other disposable materials are properly disposed of.
Ensure restrooms, wash basins, mirrors, commodes, counter tops, urinals, tubs, and showers are cleaned daily.
Comply with all regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and State Health Department when handling various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.
Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor, i.e. leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing nuts or screws, etc.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards and respond to all calls by the end of the next business day.
Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules.
Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need
for additional material and supplies.
May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies and regulatory guidelines.
Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
Perform any range of special projects, tasks, and other related duties as assigned.
