Beginning SEPTEMBER 2024Upper West Side, New York Housekeeping | Childcare
Monday-Friday 12:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
60% Housekeeping | 40% Childcare
MUST be responsible and take pride in doing a great job maintaining a superb level of high calibur professionalism. Someone intuitve who understands to read a room and be discrete in their presence.

Light Housekeeping and maintaining tidy areas, excluding deep cleaning (a cleaning team comes for deep cleaning once per week).

Begin at 12pm. Groceries are typically being delivered from Wholefoods early afternoon. If packages are delivered unpack, dispose the boxes and ensure everything is stored properly. Then make sure the wider house is looking good (e.g. emptying the dishwasher etc) and in particular that the children's rooms and bathrooms are clean.

Children's laundry and prepare vegetables for the dinner.

Children are dismissed from school around 3pm. Depending on after-school activities they are home between 3:30pm and 5:30pm. Sometimes the Candidate will do pick up of one of more of them. The family typically has a driver, but it could also be with Uber. When back home again, unpack the kids bags and prepare a simple dinner (vegetables, chicken or salmon in the oven, boiling rice or pasta or lentils etc). The family eats very healthy and prefers staff that also understands basic nutrition and favors high hygiene. After dinner tidy up the kitchen and turn on the dishwasher, use the vacuum cleaner around the dinner table and in the kitchen and then prepare the children's rooms for the night and leave @ 7:30 pm.

Position Requirements

Housekeeping: Full Housekeeping Required, Maintaining neat and orderly organized home. The family has a deep cleaning crew 1 x week
Chidcare: Children are dismissed from school around 3pm. Depending on after-school activities they are home between 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm. Sometimes the Candidate will do pick up of one of more of them. Communicate occasionally in Spanish
Cooking: Help Start/Prep for Dinner, Simple Healthy Meals
Laundry: Children's Laundry Only
Driving: Not Required, Uber with the children or accompany with the driver
Travel: Yes, Domestic Travel Required, accompany family on ski trips and/or other travel with additional pay
Languages: English, & Spanish. The children have Spanish at school and it would be great if the candidate can communicate in Spanish. Whilst not acting as a tutor, the family feels it is always good just communicating in Spanish once in a while with the children.

Minimum of 2 References
Pass stringent background checks and drug testing upon offer of hire

Position Compensation

Salary: $36-$40 +++
