What we're looking for

We're searching for an exceptional individual to join our team as a Housekeeper in Myrtle Beach, SC. This person is a hard-working individual who will embody our values while maintaining the supreme cleanliness of our homes.

Hours can and will vary weekly and seasonally based on business needs.

What you'll do

  • Professionally clean and maintain Vacasa properties using cleaning procedures and products in conformance with prescribed company standards

  • Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and washing all surfaces

  • Move all reasonably portable furniture in rooms to clean under and behind

  • Assist with laundry as needed

  • Create a welcoming environment for our guests and owners by ensuring homes are clean and cared for

  • Identify and note any damages to homes. Create maintenance tickets as necessary

  • Collect and remove trash and debris

  • Meet and maintain required Housekeeping metrics

  • Attend all mandatory individual and team meetings

  • Replenish consumable items such as soaps and paper products

  • Maintain hot tubs as needed; no experience necessary - we offer on-site training

  • Other responsibilities as assigned - because every day looks different

The skills you'll need and position requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and lift over 20 pounds

Compensation:

  • $15/hr

  • Performance-based, discretionary quarterly bonuses for eligible employees

Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center, a 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art indoor sports facility, is the latest addition to Myrtle Beach's impressive sports venue roster. Opened in March 2015, the facility features 8 basketball courts and 16 volleyball courts spread over 72,000 square feet of column-free hardwood space. The venue has been designed to host court sports, wrestling, gymnastics, table tennis, pickle ball, and other sports events as well as trade shows. To service the event space, there are seven team rooms, telescopic bleachers, a private mezzanine for elevated viewing, and a cafe with indoor/outdoor seating. Myrtle Beach has over 15 million visitors annually and has become nationally known for its youth and amateur sports activities. The John T. Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center is a member of the SFM Network, the nation's largest and fastest-growing network of sports facilities and is operated by the industry-leader in outsourced operations, Sports Facilities Management. POSITION SUMMARY This position has a focus on technology, computerized systems, kitchen equipment, and sporting equipment. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Managerial Tasks * Manage (hire, train, evaluate, hold accountable, schedule, etc.) Facility and Grounds staff * Manage and coordinate any contractors * Create manuals for housekeeping, operations and maintenance * Create logs for maintenance of equipment and capital plans * Monitor inventory and order supplies * Maintain and update all logs and manuals * Maintain OSHA compliance * Complete special projects and daily assignments as directed by the General Manager * Provide knowledgeable guest service to guests * Work within the confines of a budget * Overall hiring, firing, training and support of all human resources (staff, interns, volunteers) * Maintain, repair, upgrade, and order equipment when necessary * Correspond with prospective groups * Awareness of the guests, community, trends, and facility offerings * Ability to understand, learn, and utilize various computer-based systems * Understand and carry out facility policies and procedures * Ability to open/close facility on a daily basis * Ability to think quickly and rationally in times of emergency to prevent further problems * Record all incidents through daily rounds during league play as MOD to ensure a safe facility Facility Maintenance Tasks * Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility * Inventory, organize, and stock up closets, toolboxes and maintenance areas * Coordinate cleaning schedule around daily activities * Have knowledge of building internals (sprinkler systems, HVAC systems, alarm systems, etc.) * Manage utilities (lights, temperature controls, heaters, etc.) * Maintain and repair playing surfaces * Schedule and perform maintenance on facility equipment * Coordinate with Directors on facility repairs to avoid conflicts * Contract maintenance with outside vendors when necessary * Handle inspections (fire, sprinkler, elevator, etc.) Grounds Maintenance * Monitor overall appearance and cleanliness of the building * Coordinate maintenance and repair work with directors and contractors to avoid conflicts and maximize usage of courts * Monitor all walkways and flower beds and keep clear of weeds, grass, trash, water, ice, etc. * Develop annual court maintenance plan/log, including but not limited to the repairing/cleaning * Operate and maintain sports equipment * Maintain all trees, shrubbery and flower beds * Operate machinery to include but not limited to all equipment * Clean and maintain parking lot * Keep inventory of supplies and equipment as well as maintenance logs * Make sure all paperwork is up to date * Follow up with guests to learn how the facility can be improved * Complete special projects and daily assignments as directed by Director of Operations MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Must have advance knowledge of commercial facilities inclusive of HVAC, electrical, suppression systems and kitchen equipment * Must have experience working with sports facilities and associated grounds and equipment * General knowledge of maintenance, janitorial & landscaping * Prior responsibility in managing a daily P&L, management and budget oversight * Associates degree or related degree/certificate to the position * At least five (5) years of related experience * Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills * Must be a team player with a positive can-do attitude * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent management and scheduling abilities for outside vendors & contractors * Solid computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, audio/visual * Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays * Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certifications within a specific time period WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS * Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high * Must be able to work independently in a busy environment as well as alone before/after hours * Will be required to stand for extended periods of time * May be required to enter information on computers * Facility has intermittent noise Sfa|Sfm Myrtle Beach SC
