Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Housekeeper to join the join the Environmental Services team!

Please note, if selected for this position you will be a temporary employee of a contracted staffing agency, not Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Description:

The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for performing the daily cleaning and restocking of soap and paper products in patient rooms, nursing stations, waiting areas, offices, lounges, corridors, restrooms and other assigned areas. Additional responsibilities include utilizing cleaning devices including dust mop, wet mop, vacuum cleaners and other necessary equipment and supplies.

Requirements:

  • Must have high school diploma, or equivalent.

  • At least one (1) year experience as a Housekeeper or Floor Technician in a health care setting preferred.

  • Must be able to demonstrate skills and knowledge of proper use of chemicals and equipment.

  • Must be able to safely operate all equipment, including buffers, carpet machines and vacuums.

VIEW JOBS 4/6/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-07-05T00:00 Description of Work * THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSITION* This position is located at the NCCE Sampson Laundry plant in Clinton, NC. The Correction Enterprise Supervisor I trains and supervises inmates assigned to his/her work area. Training and supervision includes receiving, sorting soiled linen, weighing, washing, drying, ironing, folding, and packaging of all items entering the laundry. This includes the visual inspection and packaging of the finished product for shipment meeting production goals. The Correction Enterprise Supervisor I provide inmates with orientation/training of plant procedures and safety training. This involves instruction and demonstration of machine operation. The orientation and safety training includes infection control, laundry chemistry, proper handling of chemicals, and maintaining of good housekeeping practices. This position is responsible for reporting daily inmate time records to the Correction Enterprises Supervisor II. The number of inmates assigned to his/her work area may vary from day to day due to activities going on at the assigning unit. The CES I is responsible for inspection of all linen that is processed in each assigned area to insure linen is clean and meets all quality control standards. This position ensures various laundry and linen accounts are not mixed and the items delivered matches the quantities charged on the delivery tickets. This position supervises the details of production in order to maintain an orderly and smooth workflow, insuring quality and production expectations are met. This position must insure the timely flow of work and informs Correction Enterprises Supervisor II of any production delays or linen count discrepancies. The CES I must keep an open line of communication with the Correction Enterprise Manager I and be able to change job assignments on a daily basis in order to meet production. Miscellaneous duties. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and a minimum of one year of related industry/service experience; or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
