Must be experienced with cleaning techniques, chemical usage and storage and have a fantastic personality. The successful candidate must demonstrate a support for team success including flexibility in schedule changes to assist with time off, special projects and other assigned needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors including those with Dementia; prior experience in housekeeping including knowledge of techniques, chemical usage, safe handling and use of floor machines.
SEEKING EXPERIENCED HOUSEKEEPER - Assignments will include common areas and resident apartments. Weekend & Holiday availability required.
STATEMENT OF JOB:
The Housekeeper shall be responsible for cleaning the common areas and apartments in the facility.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Oversee cleaning of the entire facility, with daily emphasis on the common areas and weekly cleaning of resident apartments
Complete maintenance request reports when needed
Report noticed deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Maintenance Director
Operate the laundry room when needed
Report inadequate quantities of cleaning supplies, brooms, mops, buckets, etc. to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Maintenance Director
Clean office areas when assigned
Dust and clean all window blinds in the facility
Dust all furniture, book shelves, etc., in residents' apartments and in the common areas
Use only approved cleaning agents and maintain up to date MSDS for all cleaning products
Be willing and able to learn chemical and biohazard guidelines
Keep common area bathrooms clean
Clean apartments when they are vacated
Attend staff meetings as scheduled
