Status: Non-Exempt - Full Time
Pay Range: $20/hr - $23/hr depending on experience
Position Summary:
The NJPAC Painter is responsible for the hands-on painting of all areas of the NJPAC campus, including repairs, prep, spackling, etc., interior and exterior. The painter will also refinish and stain/shellac wood work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Painting of walls, doors, floors, equipment, furnishings, and any other items as assigned.
Repair and staining of wood work such as doors, wall finishing, display racks, etc.
Repairing, patching and painting of sheetrock.
Conduct all painting related repairs, maintenance, and projects as assigned.
Keep adequate inventory of all paint, stains, and supplies.
Qualifications and Special Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2-3 years' experience painting and staining
Should have computer skills including Word, Excel & Google Applications
Able to lift and carry heavy objects from 50 to 100 pounds.
Must have knowledge of the safest methods to be used in performing heavy manual
labor.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relations with those contacted in the course of work.
Ability to understand and follow, quickly and accurately, oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform manual and custodial tasks over extended periods of time, often under deadlines.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings and weekends as necessary
