Position Summary:

Clean and maintain public and employee areas.

Service Standards:

  • Eye contact should be made at a distance of no less than 10 feet from every guest.

  • A genuine smile should be offered at a distance of no less than 5 feet from every guest.

  • Employees should build rapport with guests during any conversation, if the guest responds to the initial statement with a conversational demeanor.

  • Guest last name is used effectively, but discreetly, as a signal of recognition as least once and not more than twice during any conversation with guests.

  • Before concluding conversations, the guest is verbally offered additional assistance with a statement relevant to the guest's individual needs.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Start the daily assignments according to the structure.

  • Check all meeting rooms, Alpine room, wine room, red room, Montagna bar and restaurant, clean as needed, clean the windows.

  • Continue to clean the lobby bathrooms dust all pictures and wipe down the walls.

  • Clean the upper and lower lobbies; dust every piece of furniture lower areas too. Include the art on the walls, lamps and lampshades, check the light bulbs

  • Replenish and organize the magazines, include the relais & chateaux book.

  • Check the telephone book covers, and keep them free of stains.

  • Keep the ashtrays clean and with matches.

  • Must clean all the wood molding including the top areas.

  • Report and/or replace all burnt light bulbs in the areas.

  • Shampoo rooms as requested by the supervisors

  • Wipe down stains on the walls.

  • Clean all the windows and frames inside the lobby including the exit doors interior and exterior.

  • All areas must be cleaned with the proper chemicals per housekeeping instructions.

  • All areas require frequent attention.

  • Assist the department with guest special request, example, rollaway bed, baby crib, shoeshine etc.

  • Stock all products relative to position to their proper levels.

  • Keep storages areas clean and organized, everything should be on the right place.

  • Write and or report all maintenance requests and mechanical deficiencies.

  • Help with the humidifiers brought to housekeeping to be cleaned.

Additional Duties:

  • Make manager aware of guest's comments and complaints.

  • Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the Employee Resource Guide.

  • Report to shift on time.

  • Comply with all policies and procedures for the Housekeeping Department, Limelight Lodge, and Aspen Skiing Company.

  • Is familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by Management.

  • Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand.

  • Has friendly and polite attitude towards guest and co-workers.

  • Must adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, attend all schedule meetings and perform other tasks asked by Management.

  • Ability to work 35 / 40 hours per week, weekends and holidays.

  • Must be detail-oriented and like to clean.

Physical Requirements of the position include:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
Education, Experience,

Skills:
  • Previous experience preferred, especially with Janitorial equipment and chemicals.

  • Must be able to read and write.

  • Basic English preferred.

Essential Functions of the Job * Responsible for the set-up, breakdown and replenishment of buffet items for breakfast service * Cooks food to order as necessary * Responsible for maintaining a clean work area * Clear tables of breakfast items as guests leave * Submits production needs for the following day by shift end * Ensures tableware and chairs are clean and in place. * Completes side duties. * Maintain the proper care and cleanliness of tableware, serving equipment and service areas (front and back of house). * Complete paperwork for each meal period ensuring sales in Micros * Ensure friendly greeting to all guests. * Check with guests during breakfast for guest satisfaction. * Understand and follow safety and sanitation procedures Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Indoors v Outdoors - Indoors 95% of the time, Outdoors 5% of the time. Standing v Sitting - Standing 100% of the time Work Environment -. Working as part of a team; working AM, PM. Working holidays. Overtime may be required due to business need. The kitchen environment is one that can be hot or cold, floors can be slippery, and some areas poorly ventilated. General working conditions may at times be intense and stressful. Physical Requirements – Ability to lift, push/pull & carry items up to 50lbs. Constant reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing and seeing (near, far, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision). Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, tasting, smelling. Education, License/Certifications & Skills * High School diploma or equivalent. * Previous food and beverage experience preferred. * Ability to multi task and prioritize * Competent with computer programs such as Micros. * Must have the ability to work with numbers (cash exchange). * Basic knowledge of food and cooking methods Language Skills Excellent written and spoken English.
