OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
To supervise hourly employees in the absence of an Assistant Manager or General Manager. To develop leadership skills required for the Assistant Manager position.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greets all customers, applies suggestive selling techniques, records orders, ensures prompt placement of orders,
Conduct a pre-shift walk through.
Directs and establishes priorities for crew employees during their shift.
Assigns work stations.
May coach, or verbally correct crew employees. May send a crew employee home pending disciplinary action by a manager. Reports disciplinary problems to management.
Will cover a work station for the entire shift. Works all stations according to expectations.
Creates and maintains a positive work environment, ensuring Open Communication. Reports employee relations issues to the General Manager or Human Resources Manager.
Ensures the operation of the restaurant complies with requirements of the Operations Manual.
Trains and cross-trains crew employees.
Is accountable for proper handling of all food products. Ensures products meet standards. Prevents food shortages, waste and theft.
Ensures that service meets expectations for speed, accuracy, and friendliness. Resolves guest complaints in the absence of a manager.
Checks in deliveries according to established procedures.
Accounts for cash during assigned shifts.
May open or close the restaurant.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to speak, read and write English
Ability to work varied hours
Demonstrates the ability to give direction, evaluate, plan and organize.
Reaches, bends, stoops, lifts, wipes.
Empties trash bags weighing up to 40 pounds.
Extensive standing without breaks.
Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold.
