Hourly Managers

Assists general manager and assistant manager to supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in preparing and serving food at restaurant. Opens restaurant, sets up cash drawers, initiates computer run and makes final deposit of previous nights receipts.

Turns on fryers, broilers and breakfast grills. Prepares food and waits on customers at counter and drive-thru window. Prepares garnish for lunch sandwiches, cuts lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions.

Begins cleaning and preparation of produce for salads. Receives and stores incoming shipments of food. Rotates stock in freezer/cooler.

May do minor repairs. Operates cash register. May close restaurant, cleaning kitchen equipment, and dining room, preparing final deposit and closing paperwork. Ensures the delivery of excellent customer service by managing the daily restaurant operations.

Direct other employees through their daily routines and interact with customers to make sure they have a satisfactory experience. Responsible for managing team leaders and team members on team stations, products, processes, and policies.

This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Superintendent, Fort Apache Agency in Whiteriver, Arizona. The incumbent will perform as a Senior Wildland Firefighter on a Hotshot crew conducting wildland firefighting work, and will lead other crew members on a regular and recurring basis while on assignments. Qualifications GS-5 Minimum Qualifications: At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector; OR Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree (a) with major study in forestry, range management, agriculture, or a subject-matter field directly related to the position, or (b) that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of courses such as forestry, agriculture, crop or plant science, range management or conservation, wildlife management, watershed management, soil science, natural resources (except marine fisheries and oceanography), outdoor recreation management, civil or forest engineering, or wildland fire science. No more than 6 semester hours in mathematics is creditable. Specialized experience is defined as: on-the-line wildland fire experience in forest/range fire control; prevention or suppression work as a skilled wildland firefighter; utilizing a variety of specialized wildland fire tools and equipment; & serving on a specialty crew (hotshot, helitack, engines, etc.) to suppress the full range of difficult and complex fires. Selective Factors: All applicants must have at some point possessed ALL of the following National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) incident management qualifications and training requirements to be considered eligible for this position: * Primary core requirement for Senior Firefighters: * Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1) qualification * Additional required training for Senior Firefighters: * S-290 - Intermediate Wildland Fire Behavior * Additional required training for Interagency Hotshot Crew Members: * S-131 - Firefight Type 1 * S-133 - Look Up, Look Down, Look Around * S-211 - Portable Pumps and Water Use * S-212 - Wildland Fire Chain Saws * S-270 - Basic Air Operations All applicants must provide an Incident Qualification and Certification System (IQCS) master record or equivalent documentation for verification of Selective Factor requirements Selectees for Interagency Fire Program Management (IFPM) positions requiring currency will be required to obtain and maintain currency for the NWCG qualifications listed above. This position has been identified as one of the key fire management positions under the IFPM standard. This position has been categorized as a Senior Firefighter (SFF), and requires selectees to meet the minimum qualification standards for IFPM prior to being placed into the position. Detailed information regarding IFPM positions can be found at http://www.ifpm.nifc.gov/ MAXIMUM ENTRY AGE: The maximum entry-age for this position shall not exceed age 37, unless you have sufficient prior Federal civilian law enforcement or firefighter experience or you are a preference eligible veteran. SPECIAL RETIREMENT COVERAGE: This is a Primary firefighter position under the special retirement provisions of 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) (CSRS) AND 8412 (d) (FERS). Persons already in covered secondary positions or persons with previously approved service who apply for a primary position cannot be considered if their age at reentry into the primary position is 37 subtracting service in approved positions. This is a permanent full-time seasonal career/conditional appointment. The incumbent will be in pay status at least 13 pay periods (26 weeks) or more depending on funding and workload not-to-exceed 25 pay periods per calendar year. Services will not be required at certain times due to lack of work, lack of funds, weather conditions, ceiling limitations, or other unforeseen circumstances and incumbent will be placed in a non-work, non-pay status.
