Hourly Instructional Assistant, Migrant Education Program

Assist the teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of migrant students. Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Provide routine clerical support.

Required:1. High school diploma or equivalent.2.

An AA degree (or equivalent) or passage of proficiency examination in compliance with Education Code and Every Student Succeeds Act.3. Experience working with students in an organized setting.4. Valid California driver's license.English/Spanish Bilingual skills desired

Per state law, all applicants must have 48 semester units, OR an AA degree OR pass the CBEST test OR show proof of NCLB compliance provided by a school district OR take the Paraprofessional Proficiency exam. • This recruitment is to establish a pool of hourly Instructional Assistants for our Migrant Education Program. Positions may be for weekends, after-school, and/or summer school.
  
  Assignments are typically 4 hours per day but can vary. Positions may be virtual or in-person at various school sites throughout the Migrant Education Program Region 18 in San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County.
