Responsible for organizing, planning, directing and controlling of the Reception Desk operations, Asst. Hotel Managers, Bell staff , and Concierge Services. Directly supervises and coordinates activities of Team Members engaged in registering and settling of guest accounts. Ensures that the highest standards of quality and service are always maintained. Reporting directly to Director of Hotel Operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum five-year experience in a high volume hotel environment, preferably with a casino
  • Experience with bargaining units preferred
  • Should have personal computer skills; Microsoft Office 2000 Suite including Outlook program knowledge preferred
  • Should have proper phone etiquette, strong people and communication skills
  • Should have mathematical, analytical and reasoning ability
  • Should read, write, speak and understand English
  • Five or more years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations

Responsible for organizing, planning, supervising and controlling of daily activities performed by your team members. Reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager.</p><ul><li>Maintains all guest rooms, guest corridors and tower public space at Hotel and 4 star/4 diamond standards</li><li>Maintains these standards while completing daily assigned work assignments</li><li>Assigns work to team members in priorities to ensure guest satisfaction</li><li>Ensure all assigned work of team members is completed prior to the end of shift</li><li>Liaison with status board and relevant departments to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the tower</li><li>Conducts daily inspections of guest rooms, guest corridors and tower public space for cleanliness standards, maintenance, and have deficiencies corrected and work request forms prepared</li><li>Responsible for preparing requisitions for cleaning and guest supplies to restock assigned locker rooms</li><li>Responsible for ensuring assigned team members are adhering to OSHA requirements and safety rules and regulations</li><li>Responsible for the control of issuing, receiving and replacing departmental keys</li><li>Constantly check room status on the computer for accuracy and update appropriate GRA paperwork</li><li>Ensure team members arrive and depart their work stations at assigned times</li><li>Ensure all lost and found is handled in accordance with departmental procedures</li><li>Prepare retraining request forms as needed</li><li>Prepare and issue any required disciplinary actions</li><li>Responsible for supervising the team members, stock levels, inventory and control of linen par levels in assigned locker rooms</li><li>Responsible for ensuring all assigned work areas are clean, neat and free of safety issues</li><li>Maintains personal contact with guests in dealing with complaints, etc.</li><li>Assist in controlling payroll cots by ensuring proper staffing in your assigned section</li><li>Conduct daily meetings with assigned team members</li><li>Check the appearance and uniforms of assigned team members daily</li><li>Knowledge of room types and locations in the tower</li><li>Knowledge of room availability at all times, for future and present dates</li><li>Be aware of special promotions within the hotel</li><li>Ensure service is always exceptional</li><li>Ensure service is of the highest degree</li><li>Ensure assigned operating equipment is being used properly and is in good working condition</li><li>Create an atmosphere of high morale and a positive working relationship among team members</li><li>Ensure the productivity and efficiency of team members by constantly overseeing work done</li><li>Know and practice the guest service philosophy of Pala Casino Resort and Spa</li><li>Ascertain guest satisfaction</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum two-years experience in a high volume Hotel environment</li><li>Should have a good working knowledge of chemicals, carpet & floor care and maintenance equipment relating to Housekeeping</li><li>Should have an extensive knowledge of all job duties performed by housekeeping team members</li><li>Should have proper phone etiquette, people and strong communication skills</li></ul><ul><li> Should read, write, speak and understand English.
