In our hotel, the Maintenance Worker position performs the duties necessary to maintain the physical structure of the hotel and keep it in good repair. These duties include carpentry, routine plumbing, minor electrical work, minor mechanical repairs and other maintenance duties.

We are looking for someone to keep our facility in compliance will all safety standards so that we can give our guests, and fellow employees, a safe environment to enjoy. Our company is all about teamwork and first class guest service, so the candidate we are searching out has a warm and friendly personality that puts our guests at ease and sets expectations of excellence in guest room/hotel functionality.

The ideal Maintenance Worker candidate has a high school diploma/GED (on-the-job training and experience combination may substitute for education requirement), prior hotel/maintenance experience, an ability to lift 75+ pounds frequently, be able to stand for long periods of time, and is willing/able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

n Smile when on-stage.

n Makes general repairs: Minor repairs on general plumbing systems and fixtures, e.g., leaking faucet, repairing a sink drain.

n Assists in administration of an on-going preventive maintenance program for equipment and guest rooms; performs planned maintenance on equipment to prolong life and prevent shut down, e.g., minor lubrications, adjustments, and cleaning.

n Assists in responding to all guest and staff needs:

n Performs elementary painting and repairing of walls, furniture, cabinets, and windows, doors locks and keys.

n Performs minor electrical and mechanical repairs.

n Performs minor repairs on fans and air conditioners.

n Performs routine plumbing repairs.

n Performs rough carpentry work.

n Assists in administration of special maintenance programs.

n Assists in maintenance of departmental tools, workspaces, and equipment.

n Know/observes safety precautions and fire safety procedures and emergency action plans and use of fire control/alarm systems and extinguishers.

n All other duties as assigned.

Job Summary The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the Maintenance Department in a manufacturing and office facility. This position will be responsible for daily supervision and coordination of the activities of maintenance personnel. Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Must understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment. * Contribute to the accomplishment of Key Performance Indicators including safety, quality, production, cost and development * Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel. * Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs. * Assist with new equipment, materials or recommend revision to methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout, or other changes to increase production or improve standards. * Conduct safety training for all department employees. Document all accidents, near-misses and injuries, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Develop and maintain good housekeeping procedures. Initiate new standard operating procedures and edit existing procedures. * Observe work and monitor indicators to ensure that Maintenance conform to production standards. * Develop, implement, or evaluate Maintenance policies and procedures. * Confer with Engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information. * Develop or test models of alternate designs or processing methods to assess feasibility, sustainability, operating condition effects, potential new applications, or necessity of modification. * Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. * Coordinate the department preventive maintenance task and insure both equipment and safety p.m.'s are completed. * Manage employee relations issues * Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality or efficiency. * Recommend or assist in the execution of personnel actions such as hiring, evaluations or promotions. * Effectively audit areas to ensure adherence to plant standards and lead corrective action initiatives. * Serve as the first point of contact for operational opportunities. Implement immediate countermeasures and/or escalate when necessary. * Maintain daily record keeping and verification. * Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives. * Lead daily shift start up meetings and provide daily accurate pass downs to oncoming shift. * Lead by example and demonstrate respect to others with a positive and supportive attitude. * Identify hourly employees' strengths and weaknesses and provide real time feedback. * Utilize and implement LEAN skills and processes * Abide by all Company policies and procedures * Other duties as assigned Education and Experience Profile * 2 years college, technical school or equivalent work experience. * At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. * Previous supervisory experience required. Required Skills * Proven leadership ability. * Maintenance background is required. * Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, machine blueprints and electrical schematics and procedure manuals. * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. * Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. * Experience with various equipment including: blending tanks, forklifts, pumps, various computer software (Microsoft Excel, SAP), digital balance, pH meter, and various hand-held tools. * Strong organization skills. * Strong mathematical ability. * Strong knowledge of machine control (PLCs, Sensors, IO's). * Strong knowledge and experience with Welding, Fabrication & Machine Shop Equipment. * Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs with occasional overtime. * Strong ability to trouble shoot equipment malfunctions. Work Environment Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing and office environment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without assistance. Must be available to work across multiple shifts. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must wear all prescribed PPE including, but not limited to: hearing protection, safety glasses, respirator and steel toed shoes. Otherwise, working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
