The hotel houseman performs routine duties in the cleaning and maintaining all common areas and any area in the hotel which may be assigned. He or she supplies their area with items that are required for the convenience and comfort of the guest. All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of cleanliness, teamwork and first class customer service. The houseman candidate we are searching out has a warm and friendly personality that puts our customers at ease and sets expectations of excellence in guest room/hotel cleanliness.

The ideal houseman candidate has a high school diploma/GED (on-the-job training and experience combination may substitute for education requirement), prior hotel/cleaning experience, an ability to lift 25 pounds, be able to stand for long periods of time, and is willing/able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

    • Pick up trash on floor, remove and empty trash in waste baskets, cleans mirrors and shelves, wipes door frames, window sills, and baseboards and arranges furniture properly.
    • Works outdoors cleaning all guest areas including the parking lot, swimming pool, trash receptacles.
    • Wears protective equipment provided by hotel.
    • Replenishes supplies as needed throughout the hotel. Works together in supporting the housekeeping department in guest rooms and common areas as assigned.
    • Reports to Inspectors all units vacated and cleaned units occupied and cleaned, and any unusual condition of furniture or rooms needing repair.
    • Reports any security or safety issues.
    • All other duties as assigned.

They operate select material handling equipment within the warehouse walls to move and shift products and build customer orders. All customer orders are loaded onto our delivery trucks to be delivered in-store. Our Warehouse Associates (Order Builder) are a key component in providing excellent service to our customers and in getting our variety of products in the hands of our consumers. Schedule: Things you should know about working as a Warehouse Associate: * Safety comes first.
