SUMMARY:

Responsible for the successful overall supervision of all activities related to all Hotel Departments.

EXPECTATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

  • Guides and supports Front desk, Bell person, Reservation, PBX, and House person Associates.

  • Communicates to Hotel Management any problems.

  • Documents performance information on associates.

  • Compiles and presents annual evaluations to Hotel associates.

  • Handles all guest requests, concerns, or problems.

  • Ensures all reservations have form of payment, and responsible for accounts without payment.

  • Maintains adequate staffing levels in the Front Desk and Bell Desk areas.

  • Performs the duties of Guest Service Representative, Bell Person, and PBX Operator when staffing levels demand.

  • Works the Front Desk during peak hours of check-in and check-out to decrease the check in and check-out time for our guests.

  • Responsible for inventory front desk essential supplies.

  • All other duties as assigned.

EXPECTATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION: * Ensures that the check-in and check-out process is handled in accordance with company policy by processing cash, credit card and credit transactions accurately, thus protecting the company's assets. * Works with the Bell Staff, Valet, and Housekeeping, to ensure a high level of guest service. * Maintains a working knowledge of the Company's property, as well as special events on and near property, in order to advise guest of the same, whenever possible. * Responds to guest requests, complaints or inquiries courteously and promptly. * Enters changing reservation information into computer system. * Posts charges to guest accounts and processes payment of accounts. * Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained. * Operates Hotel switchboard and/or PBX. * Prepares shift cash report, balancing payments and disbursements with computer total, preparing the drop envelope for shift end, and balancing of accounts. * Is knowledgeable (cross-trained) in other positions within the Hotel. * Displays a high level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment and the ability to deal with confidential matters. * Held accountable, for the control, accuracy and thoroughness of all records and reports. * Any and all other duties as assigned.
