Our Night Auditor runs the front desk during our overnight shift and handles some mild accounting duties. Complete nightly audit on computer systems per prescribed schedule and procedures. Perform a variety of customer service functions, including but not limited: to taking hotel reservations, making change, taking messages for guests, checking guests in and out of hotel, and issuing wake up calls. Operate computerized reservation system, multi-line phone system, and cash register, while also balancing till at end of shift and providing check cashing for customers. Provide information for guests, including but not limited to directions and information about the Jubitz facility.
This Night Auditor position for Jubitz' Portlander Inn is a part-time position, schedule from 11:00pm to 7:00am, two (2) nights per week. This position works independently most of the time. Previous hotel front desk experience, and desire to work over night shift is necessary.

Be prompt, efficient, and courteous when you check in and check out guests, assisting with room reservations and handling of telephone calls, and for meeting many other guest needs during their stay. The Night Auditor is also responsible for the collection of monies for services rendered during a guest stay and the smooth operation of the front office.
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
Performs audit balances and prepares all work for audit in an orderly fashion.
Respect the privacy and maintain confidentiality of guests information.
Maintains comprehensive knowledge of standard reservation procedures.
Ability to work well under pressure of check-in/check-out of guests and handle multiple tasks at once.

Qualifications and Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous front desk experience required.
Six months of customer service experience required.
Basic math, cash handling, and computer skills required.
Friendly, customer service attitude is essential.
Ability to work under pressure in an independent setting is required.
Requires standing for long periods of time.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or walk for a minimum of 8 hours. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
