Seeking experienced FRONT DESK GSA (Guest Services Associate)
Represents the Hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay by working with all Hotel personnel to ensure every guest experiences superior customer care. Responsibilities include registering guests, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests and, ensuring the guests have a pleasant stay and smooth check-out.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Strong guest service skills.
Possess a working knowledge of the Reservation Department. Take same-day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Working knowledge of cancellation procedures.
Register arriving guests and assign rooms.
Use persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the Hotel.
Manage and resolve any guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Process guest check-outs and handle monetary transactions.
Maintain guest privacy.
Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
Knowledge of surrounding area and local events.
Strong organizational skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Previous hotel experience preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Previous hotel experience a plus. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, this position will be required to work varying schedules that will include nights, weekends and holidays. In depth knowledge of hotel PMS systems highly desirable. Must possess an outgoing, upbeat personality and provide service with a smile. Dedicated team player who leads by example and can work independently. Manage all guest complaints and compliments in a prompt courteous manner and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction. Respond to all guest requests in a timely manner and follow up to insure completion and total guest satisfaction. Maintain daily operational requirements of guest recognition and frequent guest programs. Maintain and monitor shift checklists to verify completion of assigned tasks. Assist management with special projects as needed.
