What Makes a McKibbon Food and Beverage Director?
As a key member of the leadership team, the food and beverage director is accountable for the food and beverage outlets and meeting space. The food and beverage director is committed to guest satisfaction and providing a great experience for all guests.
A Day in the Life:
You will move throughout the facility and monitor the action of food prep and serving areas to ensure that associates are meeting food and beverage quality, brand, and service standards.
Your primary focus will be on the signature restaurant Wildwood Still on the rooftop of the Moxy Hotel.
You will spend service hours daily interacting with guests, building guest relationships, and ensuring attentive and friendly service to create the best dining experiences.
You will be responsible for scheduling on-going staff training sessions on guest service, food, and beverage. Maintaining standards is paramount to continue building and driving a positive culture and work environment for your teams.
You will monitor customer feedback and implement and improve strategies to maximize guest satisfaction scores.
You will monitor, create, and implement operational procedures for efficiency to ensure team members have the right systems in place to be successful on a daily basis.
You will control and be responsible for fiscal and operational tasks such as ordering supplies, developing and operating within a budget, and managing inventory of each of the outlets within the hotel.
You will work with the Hotel General Manager & Executive Chef on administrative duties, including tracking expenses, maintaining profitability, and invoice input.
You will collaborate with the Executive Chef and other applicable hotel managers daily to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction is being met.
You will help develop and approve external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities for the Food and Beverage department.
You will develop and implement policies and procedures for the Food and Beverage department
You will be responsible for developing an operating budget for each of the department's revenue outlets.
You will be responsible for maintaining the inventory of the Food and Beverage Department (i.e. budgeting, food costs, coding invoices, etc.)
You will execute inventory control and calculation for monthly analysis and reconciliation
You will prepare and monitor annual budget, revenue goals and the expenses for the Food and Beverage Department.
You will also generate various (weekly/monthly) business volume forecasts and plan accordingly.
You will ensure that all standard operating procedures for revenue and cost control are in place and consistently utilized.
You will inspect to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventative maintenance and other standards are consistently met.
You will evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and disciplinary action when needed.
You and your team will collaborate with the Corporate Food and Beverage team in the planning of menus.
Requirements:
An Associates or Bachelor's Degree is preferred
8 years' minimum experience in a beverage/food outlet
Experience working at a lifestyle or full service hotel
Experience in a supervisor or managerial position
The ability to implement the established menu and service standards
The ability and drive to personify our culture in every interaction with guests and associates
The ability to manage, train and develop 50 plus associates
The ability to deliver on the quality of service that guests deserve and expect

The ability to familiarize oneself with Company Health and Safety Policies and ensure your areas promote and comply with them.
