Summary:

Under general direction, would lead and conduct sales activities related to selling guest rooms and meeting facilities by following Drury United: The Sales Difference in order to build hotel occupancy and revenue. Responsible for achieving personal and hotel revenue goals and for management and results of the Onsite Sales Coordinator(s).

An average of 70% of time is devoted to client-facing sales activities; 30% of time is spent in leadership activities.

General Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

Requires strong knowledge of sales techniques and professional business practices. Requires ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing. Requires proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office. Requires effective time management and organizational skills.

Requires ability to operate an automobile in the daily routine of making sales calls.

Key responsibilities include: * Ownership of the service mission statement * Primary coordinator of food and beverage service hiring, coaching, training, orientations and creating a culture of teamwork * Have a strong, highly visible presence with the membership during peak periods, including dinner service * Oversee all dining areas to ensure smooth and consistent experience commonality in all operations, high levels of member and guest satisfaction, and exemplary service in conjunction with managers and clubhouse chefs. * Direct oversight of the beverage program, to include purchasing and inventory of all beer, wine, and liquor. * Assist in the planning and execution of all club social functions, including, club, member, and member sponsored events. * In coordination with the Director of Membership, promote and contract banquet and catering services * In coordination with the Executive Chef and General Manager, develop and monitor all financial plans * Planning and execution of opening plan for all new food and beverage venues * Ensure adherence to, and compliance with, all health, safety, liquor consumption, and all other food and beverage regulations. * Assist with clubhouse and facility maintenance needs, including management of all preventive maintenance of front of the house and beverage equipment * Work closely with the Executive Chef to facilitate a strong relationship between kitchen and restaurant departments. * Establish and uphold expectations for dress, decorum and other service standards Education/Experience: * Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Tennessee ABC Server Card (must be attained in first 60 days on property) * ServSafe certification Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences: * Service Heart * Knowledgeable in hospitality POS system application, hardware, software and menu programing. * Experience in Multi-faceted Food and Beverage operations. * Strong understanding of beverage program management, with emphasis on Bourbon and wine preferred * Ability and willingness to step into other departments to help during "all hands on deck" periods * High comfort level with technology * Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
