Summary

The Hot Oil Dispatcher is responsible for answering customer and driver calls, taking orders, dispatching jobs, and managing the movement of the hot oil trucks daily.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Organize and plan hot oil jobs

  • Receive calls and contact customers regarding hot oil jobs

  • Process hot oil paperwork

  • Dispatch and track trucks, drivers, and equipment on a daily basis

  • Work rotational schedule, which includes night shifts, weekends, and holidays

Required Skills

  • Have at least one year of hot oil field experience

  • Possess strong communication skills and be able to give instructions clearly that are understood by all parties

  • Able to adapt to a multitude of personalities between drivers and customers

  • Work under pressure, stay organized and be able to prioritize the order of calls

  • Have general computer knowledge, be able to work with various dispatching/trucking software packages

  • Know and understand DOT regulations and HOS rules

  • Be mechanically inclined and understand hot oil trucks and oil field equipment

  • Able to work in a team environment

  • Perform the essential functions in a fast paced and high stress environment.

  • Possess exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with current and potential customers, both internal and external.
