Dreisbach Enterprises has operated in the Bay Area for over 65 years and provides refrigerated warehousing, logistics, transportation and distribution services to our customers.

We seek a Hostler/Driver for our fast-paced, high volume cold storage facilities in Richmond and Oakland. The job responsibilities will primarily consist of hooking and unhooking trailers, moving trailers in and out of doors and shuttling empty and full trailers throughout the facility.

The yard hostler will:

• Drive yard truck in yard and on the street to transport and spot trailers/containers
• Work in a congested area and back in from a crowded street and yard
• Organize and manage the storage yard
• On occasion, move trailers between warehouse locations and/or make deliveries
• On occasion, help/assist in the maintenance shop with various truck maintenance duties such as changing lights, tires, and minor repairs
• Clean out and/or washout trailers when needed
• Comply with all safety, attendance, operations & training guidelines/programs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of yard hostling in high volume setting
• Ability to manually crank landing gear
• Fork lift certification a plus, but not required
• Must have strong command of the English language, both written and verbal

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up-to 50 lbs. of force occasionally
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift
• Ability to work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold and rain
