The Hostess/Host provides efficient greeting and seating in the assigned dining room, private dining room and/or lounge while providing assistance to the Wait Staff and Supervisors.
Various hours including evenings and weekends.
Job Details & Qualifications
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Greet and seat customers in a courteous manner
Support Wait Staff during busy meal times
Provide sick meals to residents and communicate with the Clinic
Set up private functions in Promenade Dining Venues
Receive and record reservations as needed for specific dining areas
Make mixed beverages upon request for residents and guests (must be a minimum of 21 years of age to perform this job duty)
Additional duties as assigned
Offers of employment are conditioned on applicants meeting requirements of a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Be able to stand for at least 5 hours
Be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance, 26+ pounds with manual or mechanical assistance
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Read well and follow written and verbal instruction
Ability to communicate effectively with customers in person and over the phone
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Previous work in a retirement community setting
Some bartending experience and/or general knowledge of mixed alcohol drinks and other alcoholic beverages
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

One year of directly related experience
Must be a minimum of age 21 to make mixed alcohol drinks and is strongly preferred
REQUIRED BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

Reliable and dependable with excellent attendance standards
Must be customer service oriented
Highly motivated with a good sense of urgency to provide excellent service delivery
Must be able to work independently, as well as with others
