A TGI Fridays Host/Hostess presents a positive first impression of TGI Fridays friendliness, excellent service and high standards. The Host/Hostess also greets guests upon arrival, ensures the guest dining experience is excellent and bids guests farewell as they leave.

Specific responsibilities of the Host/Hostess include:

  • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact.

  • Uses visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference.

  • Informs guest of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff.

  • Promptly answers incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.

  • Manages the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provides accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate.

  • Tends to special guest needs and requests.

  • Follows all relevant brand standards to deliver Fridays Service Style.

  • Observes guests' needs throughout dining experience to ensure they receive high quality service (i.e. notice a drink refill is needed while seating another guest and ensures the drink is refilled prior to getting back to the door).RequirementsA TGI Fridays Host/Hostess must be able to carry natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted or intrusive.

Additional specific requirements for the Host/Hostess include:

  • Must be able to read menus

  • Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance

  • Must be able to clearly communicate guests' needs to Servers, Bussers, Managers, etc.

  • Must be able to hear well in a loud environment in order to answer telephone and respond to guest requests

  • Must be able to walk and stand during the entire shift

  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe

  • Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests

  • Must be able to understand requests for assistance

  • Must be able to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.)

VIEW JOBS 1/10/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-10T00:00 * What does a great Computer Operator Associate Do? * You will operate host processor and related enterprise server environments, monitoring online and offline processing environments to obtain peak system performance and meet departmental goals and objectives. * You will implement checks and balance routines associated with data transmissions and electronic file delivery systems. * 3rd shift (Monday- Friday 8:30PM-5:00AM) KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: * You will ensure optimum operating system performance You will expedient recovery of software and hardware aborts * You will also Monitor and manage online environments to meet performance agreements * Timely and accurate delivery/receipt of data transmissions REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: * Operations Shift Supervisor RESPONSIBILITIES / ACTIVITIES: Perform the following responsibilities under general supervision * Initiate normal system tasks unassisted. * Remain current on major Unisys and vendor related operating system commands. * Learn and apply new technologies in an acceptable timeframe. * Be proficient at understanding the basics of product lines and pre-determined deadlines. * Communicate problems to management, requiring minimal assistance to resolve. Keep accurate notes on issue resolution in order to provide expedient solutions in the future. * Operate multiple product lines simultaneously. * Assume responsibility to train or mentor newer or lesser-seasoned employees setting high standards of conduct and work ethics for others. * Make sound suggestions on how to improve a product line by documenting the suggestions and articulating them to either the Lead Operator or Shift Manager. * Possess extreme familiarity with the operation of all hardware and peripheral equipment related to the position. (Tape drives, disk pack, CD burners, etc) * Pull and prepare magnetic tape media for daily processing according to set guidelines and audit controls. * Prepare monthly performance reports or other reports as directed by shift manager. Thoroughly understand the normal hardware and software recovery process. Follow and understand documented procedures to arrive at the desired end result for hardware and software recoveries. * Log and report problems identified throughout the shift utilizing a defined "problem tracking and reporting mechanism"; assist in problem identification and resolution. * Understand the Fiserv operating system. * Possess basic understanding of FEP commands and be comfortable with intermediate online restarts. * Trouble-shoot online performance issues, requiring assistance only when complex situations arise. * Interpret online monitoring tools and understand the normal transactional trending to identify when something out-of-norm occurs. * Monitor and react to electronic file deliveries in a timely manner. * Manage system software and detect product abnormalities. * Bring User codes online and offline. * Send and receive data transmissions utilizing inbound and outbound data transmission tools and adhering to all checks and balance routines associated with inbound and outbound data transmissions. * Fully understand and meet all file delivery commitments. * Articulate thoughts clearly and handle client calls efficiently. * Possess basic understanding of telecommunication equipment required to perform duties. * Handle all related ACH Bulk processing and balancing routines as well as DDA balancing and notification processes. * Manage file transfer completion and detect and correct abends. * Clearly communicate concerns to co-workers and management in a professional manner. * Basic monitoring of open system back-up jobs.
