Host/Hostess, Olive And Sea - Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina

Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina is looking to welcome a Host/Hostess to join the team!

Our property, which has 595 guest rooms, is located on the Intracoastal Waterway, less than 10 minutes from Fort Lauderdale sand via our beach shuttle. Our Olive & Sea restaurant seats about 185 in the dining room and 17 seats at the bar. Our menu is comprised of delicious Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant is open from 7AM-11AM and reopens 3PM-10PM every day, with the exception of Friday and Saturday where it closes as 11PM.

The ideal candidate holds 1+ years as a Host/Hostess in a high-volume restaurant. Availability to work the required shifts.

Shift Pattern: Full availability (Weekdays, weekends, holidays as needed) (AM/MID/PM)

Rate of Pay: $19.00 per hour

What will I be doing?

As a Host/Hostess, you would be responsible for welcoming guests and escorting them to their seats for dining in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
• Seat guests and manage the seating chart
• Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
• Perform opening and closing duties, as needed
• Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
• Ensure knowledge of menu
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
