THE JOB:

As a Fine Dining Host Person at Morimoto, you'll be the face of our restaurant, greeting guests with a warm smile and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Your vibrant personality will be key in fostering a friendly and enjoyable dining experience. In addition to providing exceptional hospitality, you'll also be responsible for maintaining the restaurant's cleanliness, organization, and ensuring that adequate supplies are always on hand. Your efforts will contribute to a memorable WOW dining experience that leaves a lasting impression on our guests.

STARTING RATE: $20.936/hour

RESTAURANT HOURS:

Sunday to Thursday: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Friday to Saturday: 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Coordinate with Reservations: Collaborate with the reservations team to ensure that special orders and guest requests are communicated effectively to management.

• Stay Informed: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of daily operations, in-house groups, table setups, and restaurant details to provide accurate information to guests.

• Provide Warm Welcome: Greet guests promptly and warmly upon their arrival, creating a positive first impression.

• Manage Reservations: Handle incoming calls, maintain accurate reservation counts, and efficiently manage the reservation book.

• Ensure Menu Accuracy: Verify that menus are current and replace any damaged ones promptly.

• Communicate and Provide Feedback: Communicate guest needs and preferences to the kitchen and management and offer feedback on guest experiences to help improve service quality.

• Keep Guests Informed: Regularly check on waiting guests, provide updates on their status, and inform them about table preparations.

• Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in assigned work areas to create a pleasant and hygienic atmosphere for guests.

• Properly Close Out Shift: Shut down the podium at the end of the shift and forward phones to the voice-loop system.

• Perform Additional Duties: Fulfill other job-related tasks as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Work Schedule: Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Fine Dining Experience: Proven experience working in a high-end fine dining restaurant, demonstrating a strong understanding of upscale dining protocols and expectations.

• Exceptional Customer Service: A track record of providing exceptional customer service, with a focus on creating memorable and personalized experiences for guests.

• Reservation Management: Strong knowledge of reservation systems and procedures, including the ability to efficiently manage reservations, handle inquiries, and accommodate guest requests.

• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and service.

• Team Player: A collaborative and team-oriented approach, with the ability to work well with others to achieve common goals.
