The Hospitality Support is responsible for communicating the uniqueness of DAOU through a consistent and impactful brand message, while exhibiting excellence in customer service, in order to create a world-class experience for every guest.

Core Responsibilities

Efficient Service Support

    • Keep floors free and clear of broken glass, water, and other debris during service.
    • Stock wine consistently during service.
    • Wash, dry and buff all glasses, plates, flatware and any other utensil used during service.
    • Transport supplies from storage as needed throughout service.
    • Communicate with management supply levels and needs on a daily basis.
    • Required to participate in the setup, support, and breakdown of events.
    • Provide guests with world-class customer service at all times.
    • Describe tasting room options with accuracy and enthusiasm.
    • Deliver food to guests.
    • Facilitate bottle and merchandise sales for guests

Set -Up and Close Down

    • Follow opening checklist, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely manner and the Tasting Room is fully cleaned, stocked, and ready for guests by opening time.
    • Initiate closing tasks and follow closing checklist ensuring that all closing tasks are performed ensuring that the Tasting Room is clean, stocked and ready for the opening staff.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.Able to complete multiple tasks with accuracy and urgency.
  • Assesses situations quickly and responds with appropriate action, taking initiative to problem-solve, if necessary.
  • Leads others, by example and makes decisions based on the needs of the business.
  • Ability to react quickly in a high intensity environment, maintaining a calm professional demeanor at all times.
  • Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. or one case of wine.
  • Fluent in English language, second language helpful in communication with visiting public.

  • Possesses knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional visitor experiences.

Working Conditions

  • Regular working schedule to include all weekends and holidays.
  • Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events.
  • Moderate to heavy physical work (moving wine cases and retail supplies and setting up for special events).
  • Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day).

VIEW JOBS 11/23/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-02-21T00:00 <p>Through the lens of a luxury operator, the Hospitality Manager, Guest Experience will focus their time on developing a strong team, who achieve the overarching sales goals in a daily/weekly/monthly/annual basis, place a strong emphasis on engaging visitors in the DAOU wine club, and work as the lead on the Tasting Room floor to lead, inspire and achieve this behavior and results.</p><p>In addition, this position will support and execute all activities related to meaningful and impactful special events that drive sales while building long term brand awareness and equity, Guest loyalty and positive community impact.</p><p><strong>Position Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Best-in-Class Guest and Member Services and Trade Engagement:</p><ul><li>Develops and executes best-in-class consumer and trade experiences that complement and accentuate the DAOU wine experience.</li><li>Implements a 360-degree approach to Guest and Member experience management to drive long term engagement and loyalty.</li></ul><p> Team Engagement, Training, Support, and Education:</p><ul><li>Recruits, hires, trains, manages, and supports Tasting Room staff of 50+.</li><li>Coaches and develops associates so they represent the highest level of expertise available in the wine industry with an emphasis on customer service, wine education and gracious hospitality.</li><li>Lead by example to provide daily, hands-on leadership to the Tasting Room staff.</li><li>Exemplifies values of an agent of positive change who is flexible, nimble, and works well under pressure.</li></ul><p> Financial Strategy and Sales Management:</p><ul><li>Responsible for strategy to drive traffic, achieve sales goals and targets.</li><li>Manages tasting room sales performance, including monitoring sales trends and budget, managing costs, and adjusting business strategies as needed to meet target revenue goals.</li><li>Achieves all annual sales, wine club sign-ups, and customer data collection goals.</li><li>Evaluates effectiveness of programs by performing periodic reviews and auditing customer feedback on a regular basis.
