Responsibilities:

  • Interact with clients to ensure all service levels are understood and needs met

  • Lead the staff to be efficient and productive

  • Review and propose execution of catering contracts

  • Ensure staff is trained and observes National Safety Food (NSF) guidelines

  • Creating a positive work environment.

  • Provide and manage the infrastructure to make everyone on the team successful

  • Prioritize work and manage staff levels

  • Maintain positive attitude in busy environments

  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Prove flexible when faced with deadlines and challenges

  • Adhere to procedures and guidelines

  • Participate in on-going training programs and cross-training

  • Ensure compliance of staff to training programs and cross-training efforts

  • Capture and maintain logs of volumes and activities; create monthly management report

  • Ensure a safe working environment

  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Associate degree or 4+ years related experience

  • Self-starter with high level of initiative, flexibility and adaptability

  • Strong leadership, customer service and work ethic.

  • Ability to work independently with little direction.

  • Able to meet schedules and deadlines.

  • Proven ability to identify and address concerns with proposed solutions.

  • Ability to multi-task while taking direction from various departments.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • High level of detail orientation and good follow-through skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships and interact with all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize work within budget and time constraints

  • Highly reliable and flexible work schedule as needed (infrequent work on the weekends/before or after hours may be required).

  • Previous experience managing and people; lead by example

  • Self-directed, can delegate and do

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - with both customers and employees

  • Organized, excellent time management

  • Must be able to lift/carry 30 - 50 lbs.

  • Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other database driven software

  • Must be energetic, proactive, have a positive attitude, be willing to work with others and have excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Comfort developing and managing to service levels and KPIs

  • Excellent office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to learn new systems

As our Prevailing Wage and Certified Payroll Specialist you will have the chance to perform all labor compliance duties associated with public works, prepare and submit certified payroll reports, update prevailing wage rates and fringes for various trades, upload weekly payrolls to the DIR, Elations and LCPtracker, prepare fringe benefit statements, DAS 140's, DAS 142's. You will be responsible for execution and monitoring of all Certified Payroll projects. As the Prevailing Wage and Certified Payroll Specialist, you will ensure compliance in completing all paperwork including all Federal, State and local City laws regarding prevailing wage and certified reporting. You will also have the chance to assist in various HR tasks, apprentice training program, skilled and trained compliance and annual audits.
