Essential Functions

• Communicates with Lead Maintenance and/or Property Manager to prioritize units in need of housekeeping

• Daily cleaning of all common areas prior to prospect/resident viewing including interior of office, clubroom, fitness area, pool area, laundry facilities and models

• Detail cleaning of vacant units

• Must complete work within timeframe given by Lead Maintenance and/or Property Manager to ensure timely move in

• Adheres to safety procedures and protocols established by governmental agencies such as OSHA

• Performs any additional duties or tasks as assigned by Maintenance, Assistant Manager, Property Manager or the Regional Portfolio Director

• Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to a variety of practical situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may occasionally involve minor deviations. Needs ability to think rationally beyond a specific set of instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Some cleaning experience preferred

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a timely and organized manner

Working Environment

• Indoors (66% to 100% of the time). Occasionally outdoors (1% to 33% of the time).

• Occasional exposure to (1% to 33% of the time) to cleaning chemicals, paint fumes, solvents, adhesives, etc. Example; apartments during/after make-ready.

• Frequent need (33% to 66% of the time) to work in awkward and confining positions.

Physical Requirements

• Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to be on feet.

• Have constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to perform the following physical activities:

o Bend/Stoop/Squat/Kneel Perform routine cleaning, pick up debris

o Climb Stairs Service requests, make-ready needs for 2nd and 3rd floor apartments.

o Push or Pull Move light furniture, appliances, open and close doors, etc.

o Reach Above Shoulders Perform routine cleaning duties.

o Climb Ladders Perform routine cleaning duties.

o Grasp/Grip/Turning Handle cleaning tools and equipment.

o Finger Dexterity Handle cleaning tools and equipment.

• Lifting/Carrying (cleaning supplies, vacuum, stepstool, etc.):

o 50-75 pounds Rare Need (less than 1% of the time)

o 25-50 pounds Occasional Need (1% to 33% of the time)

o 1-25 pounds Constant Need (66% to 100% of the time)

• Required to handle cleaning chemicals; certain cleaning chemicals may require pre-mixing.

Vision Requirements

• Constant need (66% to 100% of the time) to observe areas needing attention/ correction. Read cautionary labels, respond to written instructions from staff.

• Frequent need (33% to 66% of the time) to see things clearly beyond arm's reach Observe and assist in general maintenance; observe problems throughout the community.

Hearing Requirements

• Not essential. Frequent need (33% to 66% of the time) to receive instructions from community management. Written instructions should be acceptable.
