At Dollywood Parks & Resorts, we create memories worth repeating. We do this every day across Dollywood Resorts which includes over 600 rooms and 15 Food & Beverage outlets, all located in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. Our plan is to grow our resort footprint to over 1200 rooms across five resorts at Dollywood and to add other resorts to our overall company resort portfolio.

We are seeking a Hospitality Safety & Security Manager who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand and our region.

We are seeking an individual who has the ability to bring the vision of the Dollywood Resorts to life. The recipe for the right Hospitality Safety & Security Manager will be equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, mentor and motivator.

The Hospitality Safety & Security Manager will oversee the security team as well as the day-to-day operations for Dollywood Resorts. This role is responsible for guest and Host safety and security in all aspects of the daily security operation and crisis situations as well as the protection of property and assets. All of these responsibilities will be carried out in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of The Dollywood Company.

Summary of Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Provide Security services for all Hosts, Guests and Vendors and property protection for the Dollywood Company with a focus on DreamMore and HeartSong Resorts.

  • Manage First Aid or Emergency response for Hosts and Guests, providing initial care and response, follow up and appropriate notification of events and incidents.

  • Responsible for the operation, function and growth of the security team and programs including development, proactiveness, reputation with customers and Guests, performance and focus on constant improvement and consistency.

  • Identify and respond effectively to all safety or security related concerns for both guest and Hosts.

  • Develop expectations, annual goals and budgets for self and reporting team. Control expenses and report on results.

  • Company compliance to include HFE procedures and standards, legal/statutory, professional duties, State security certification and operating compliance.

  • Ensure resort related safety/security policies are being followed in areas such as housekeeping where resort specific safety/security standards may need to be implemented or monitored.

  • Work with senior leadership and external authorities in regards to risk assessments, managing feedback and developing plans to be executed for improvement

  • Connect, communicate and train with local emergency services and law enforcement ensuring supporting agencies have a good understanding of property process, resources and responding units are clear on expectations and accessibility.

  • Monitor and manage security systems and equipment servicing such as alarm systems, access control and, Jolt monitoring.

  • Serve in Manager On Duty role for Resorts when scheduled.

  • Provide safety and security-related oversight in absence of Safety & Security Director.

  • Provide detailed reporting as needed regarding camera systems, incident reports, and loss prevention investigations.

  • Delegate authority and responsibility to team with supervision, accountability and review

Education and Experience Required

  • College degree in related field preferred.

  • At least 5-7 years' management level experience hospitality industry. Safety experience also preferred.

  • Working knowledge of OSHA and ADA requirements.

  • Knowledge of TN ABC/Alcohol/Serving/Storage codes and requirements preferred.

  • Possess valid driver's license.

  • First Aid and C.P.R. required or ability to obtain a certification.

  • Must be able to meet the minimum requirements for a law enforcement officer for the State of Tennessee as it pertains to psychological exams, morality requirements, etc.

  • Must successfully complete a post-employment offer background check, credit check and drug screen.

  • Must have or be able to obtain valid Tennessee Driver's license.

  • Must be computer literate. Working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Outlook preferred.

  • Ability to obtain State of Tennessee Security officer registration card with validation for armed status from Department of Commerce and Insurance Private Protective Services.

  • Ability to meet the company requirements to serve as divisional leader on duty within the first year of employment.

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide with accuracy.

  • Able to communicate effectively using standard English grammar and punctuation

  • Able to tolerate various temperatures while working outdoors.

  • Able to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid TN driver's license and insurance.

  • Able to meet the physical demands of the job.

  • Display an attitude toward hospitality in all gust and Host interactions.
