Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Hospitality Marketing Manager, helps build and execute marketing plans, promotions and targeted media campaigns driving awareness for the non-gaming amenities at SMSC Gaming Enterprise. Responsible for coordinating traditional and digital media per deadline and budgets, contributing to public relations activities for the property, and managing internal marketing collateral and messaging for projects that could include food and beverage outlets, group sales, Mystic Lake hotel, strategic partnerships, Human Resources, special projects and other amenities as well as Mystic Lake Center.

Job Duties:

  • Works with marketing department management, as well as operational departments and internal stakeholders to lead and coordinate communication efforts on projects that could include food and beverage, hotel operations, group sales, strategic partnerships, Human Resources and all other non-gaming amenities at SMSC Gaming Enterprise, and coordinates marketing efforts on their behalf. Generates creative briefs.

  • Creates media schedules and estimates, generates insertion orders, requests purchase orders, and ensures in house media buy deadlines are met.

  • Works with marketing manager to discuss upcoming events and promotional plans that support marketing efforts

  • Develops and executes promotional campaigns across various marketing channels.

  • Assists internal departments with marketing programs, collateral and sales material for special events and tradeshows, and daily use.

  • Records all purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices in advertising accrual spreadsheet.

  • Occasional tasks.

  • Combination of post-secondary education in Advertising, Marketing or related field and related experience in a role such as an Account Coordinator to equal four years.

  • Intermediate-level experience with word-processing, spreadsheets and electronic mail software.

  • Experience in Marketing or Communications Project Management

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of digital marketing method

Enters Food and Beverage invoices into the Purchasing system. * Occasional Tasks * Any combination of post-secondary education and/or experience in business administration, hospitality management or related field to equal five years and 2 years of supervisory experience. * 2 years Food and Beverage operational and/or POS experience required. * Advanced proficiency (ability to create and develop complex files and reports) in word-processing, spreadsheets, meeting presentations, database, and electronic mail software. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Must possess excellent organizational and administrative skills.
