We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee our café, hospitality, and reception operations. The Café Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of catering events, from client consultations to event execution, while ensuring exceptional service and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team to success. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of catering events, including menu planning, staffing, procurement, and logistics. • Conduct client consultations to understand their event and menu requirements and preferences and provide customized catering solutions. • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of events. • Manage catering staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. • Design and conduct training programs for staff to ensure consistent and high-quality service and enhance the overall customer experience. • Ensure all catering operations comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, and maintain active food service certifications for employees. • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food, beverages, snacks and supplies as needed. • Act as the main point of contact (along with the Hospitality Lead) for clients during events, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise. • Analyze performance metrics and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Reception and Hospitality teams. • Schedule all staff, manage their timecards, and record and report overtime for billing as needed. • Promote the development of the team and aid them in meeting their development goals. • Collect and report on data as required by Firm and office management. • Meet regularly with the Firm and Forrest Solutions leadership teams to report on costs and confirm adherence to the budget established by the Firm. • Collaborate with local Forrest Solutions leadership on developing and delivering Strategic Account Reviews. Qualifications: • Previous experience in a catering management (or assistant manager) role, with a proven track record of successfully planning and executing events of varying sizes and complexity.
Must include experience managing/leading a team. • Strong understanding of budgeting and cost control. • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service. • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues. • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as industry best practices. • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.) and other relevant technology. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects (at least 50 lbs.) as required.
