Responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of the physical structure of the Leadership Institute.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1.Develop and implement engineering operational processes that are well defined and optimized for efficiency, accuracy and completeness (to include life safety, routine and preventive maintenance schedules).
2.Prioritize service requests; schedule and monitor the service performed to ensure customer satisfaction, safety and convenience.
3.Preform basic maintenance tasks as necessary (e.g. electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting).
4.Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, classrooms, and public spaces (e.g. landscaping, decks, parking lot) prior to guest arrivals.
5.Purchase, re-order and maintain engineering supplies and inventory necessary to operate the facility. Assist in the setup and management of third party vendors.
6.Assist in the maintenance of all large equipment. Work with third party vendors to ensure all equipment is in working order.
7.Assist with the setup of classrooms and meeting space, to include setting up meeting space, moving furniture and boxes.
8.Abide by and meet all necessary Occupational and Safety Health Administration (OSHA) requirements pertaining to the engineering staff.
9.Serve as manager on duty when respective departmental managers are not available.
Required Skills and Competencies:

1.High school diploma or equivalent
2.Three years of experience in hospitality maintenance, preferably in a full-service hotel environment

6.Ability to endure heavy physical labor

1.Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management
2.Experience in opening, or re-positioning of a hotel
3.Experience with inspections and certifications related to hospitality
4.Experience in maintaining OSHA requirements
5.Experienced in various property management systems and the systems they interface with ( i.e. Oracle, MICROS, Amadeus, Assa Abloy)
