This professional will ensure all key considerations are identified and integrated within the project, make design recommendations for alternate fixtures and furniture where needed to achieve project budgets and then manage the bid and award process for full procurement of the final FF&E scope. The ideal candidate has a design background, is detail oriented and has experience in hospitality design and purchasing.

This position will be based in our Ft. Lauderdale, Florida offices.

Essential Functions

Coordinate the bidding process, cost analysis, purchasing, and installation of all FF&E orders and maintaining strong work relationships with vendors, co-workers, and designers in order to complete the assigned projects on time and under budget.

Establish bid lists for specified items based on experience and manufacturing methods.

Assist the senior team in the creation and management of the FF&E components of the project budget and maintain a detailed database to coordinate the bidding and purchasing process.

Attend various meetings for projects and departmental updates.

Negotiate pricing and analyze bid packages to ensure the selected vendor's products are best suited for the project requirements and specifications.

Review product specifications provided by design consultants to ensure they meet applicable requirements, such as ADA regulations, and Wurzak Hotel Group standards and preferences.

Oversee and expedite orders placed by the project team to ensure the schedule and project budget are being achieved. Update schedules, reports and manifests as required.

Effectively communicate information related to purchase orders to vendors and other members of the senior team.

Manage vendor product submittals and researches product efficiency.

Prepare value engineering menus and/or scope reduction options for evaluation by Project Manager and Designers.

Develop project delivery sequences and work closely with internal/external resources including building contractors to develop ways to improve site management and installation efficiency.

Attend project installs as required and inspect goods to maintain the high standards required.

Reconcile budgets and job cost.

Manage project "close out" procedures, punch list and FF&E commissioning.

Collaborate with the design team to ensure the design intent is achieved.

Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Participate in task forces and committees as requested.


The Company may consider equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience providing the knowledge, skills and abilities cited below.

Education and Experience

A minimum of 3 years' experience in Purchasing / FF&E Procurement for a full service hotel or hotel company; or hospitality purchasing company with renovation project (PIP) and new build experience to include full involvement in purchasing and negotiating of contract awards and delivery logistics.

A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field from a regionally accredited institution with three (3) years of related experiene in new construction and remodeling/renovation projects in hospitality.

Experience in the hospitality industry required.

Strong Knowledge of Sigma Sourcing Procurement System

Strong interpersonal, communications, negotiating and leadership skills

Demonstrates expertise relevant to planning, purchasing and delivery of FF&E within a project management environment

Excellent organizational skills, effective time management and negotiating skills; Ability to handle multiple projects, work under pressure, high attention to detail, Travels frequently.

High level of proficiency in the use of MS Office specifically Excel, and other software relevant to procurement and management

Excellent project knowledge: manufacturing, joinery, furniture, lighting, fabrics, etc.

Physical requirements include periods of standing and/or walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The job requires close vision with or without corrective lenses.
