Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Hospice - Victoria, Texas

Reports to: Director of Patient Care Services

Job Description/Requirements:

As an RN Hospice you will:

  • Complete an initial, comprehensive and ongoing comprehensive assessment of patient and family to determine hospice needs.

  • Complete, maintain and submit accurate timely and relevant clinical notes regarding patient's condition and care given.

  • Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including, but not limited to the Compliance Program: Code of Conduct, HIPAA and Documentations Standards.

  • Commit to the values and mission of AccentCare, Inc.

Requirements of Qualified Candidates:

  • Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice nursing in the state of agency operation and possess and maintain current CPR certification

  • Registered Nurse with minimum one (1) year of hospice experience

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, preferred

  • Ability to work with and supervise hospice aides

  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order

Responsibilities The Unit Clerk is responsible for: * Nursing unit communication * Serving as a receptionist * Maintaining patient records * Transcribing and communicating physician orders * Maintaining order at the nursing station Qualifications The Unit Clerk must: * Be a high school graduate or equivalent * Certification as a Unit Secretary is preferred * Previous work experience in a medical environment is preferred * Have the verbal ability to effectively express ideas and views for communication (as appropriate) with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, visitors, and staff members * Be able to read and write in the English language including basic medical terminology and abbreviations * Have cognitive abilities for making judgements, memory and problem solving; flexibility to adjust to changing conditions and the various details of the job * Have clerical ability to document in the medical record; legible handwriting to ensure retrievable information in the patient record and required reports * Have organizational ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner Post Acute Medical Victoria TX
