As a Horticulturist III with Hines, you will be responsible to supervise and perform the day-to-day horticultural operations of Amazon's Spheres and Seattle Corporate Headquarters campus. This includes maintenance of interior plant installations and exterior landscape. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for oversight and training of Hines horticulture staff
Develop and provide goals and performance evaluations
Liaise with Hines horticulture program staff on budgeting, proposals and other aspects of program management
Perform high level horticulture work within the Spheres and in other locations of Amazon's Corporate Headquarters in Seattle, including watering, pest control, and pruning, under direction of the Amazon horticulture staff
Partner with Amazon staff to manage external vendors on maintaining high standards of horticulture within the Spheres and Seattle Campus
Partner with Amazon staff on plant procurement and acquisitions
Manage horticulture projects at direction of Amazon Staff
Discourse with Amazon employees, partners, and the public to educate them about plants, biophilia, conservation, and other horticulture-related topics
Minimum Requirements include:
Bachelor's degree in agriculture, horticulture, or greenhouse-related area of study from an accredited institution or Five or more years of experience in agriculture, horticulture or greenhouse plant production
Three or more years experience managing horticulture teams
Integrated Pest Management experience
Experience carrying out and aligning with client design, vision, and standards while designing, implementing and managing horticultural projects
