The horticulture student worker will be involved in indoor/outdoor plant maintenance, pruning, greenhouse work, harvest, seeding and watering, composting and other duties, as needed. This position will require student workers to work in all weather conditions, student workers need to be willing to do physical labor and get dirty.

Required Qualification(s)

  • Must be a CLC student enrolled in a minimum of three (3) credit hours for summer OR six (6) credit hours for fall.
  • Attach an availability schedule with application
  • Must be willing and able to work with a close attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform manual labor indoors and on the farm.

  • Self-motivated individuals with a strong work ethic

Desired Qualification(s)

  • Students working towards Horticulture degree or certificate strongly preferred.

Posting Date Special Instructions Summary Pay Rate $14.00 Location Grayslake Total Hours per week 20 Work Schedule

TBD, hours will be arranged around class schedule. Daytime Mon-Thurs availability strongly preferred. Position will run through the end of the academic year.
