Serves meals to patrons in dining establishment by performing the following duties.
Answers questions from guests and makes suggestions to guests regarding food, beverage, and service.
Takes and fills all food and drink orders.
Assists in maintaining the dining area in a clean and neat manner.
Relays orders to kitchen using the Micros P. O. S. computer system.
Monitors the needs of all guests on a continual basis to ensure all requests are met thoroughly and promptly.
Prints guest checks on Micros, accepts payment, and takes payment and guest check to the designated cashier immediately.
Garnishes salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee and iced tea, and performs other services as necessary.
Clears tables completely at the end of each meal.
Uses all proper service techniques as described in the training manual.
Carries out Horseshoe customer service policy to each guest at all times.
Works well with all other restaurant employees to promote a teamwork oriented atmosphere.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Previous Food Service Experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
