Responsible for providing support to Food and Hotel Operations for Tunica Roadhouse and Horseshoe Tunica Casinos.

Reports Directly to the VP of Hospitality

  • Composes and types correspondence, reports and miscellaneous paperwork; prepares outgoing mail; files correspondence and other departmental records and reports.

  • Answers telephone and give information to callers, or routes call to appropriate individual; places outgoing calls.

  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality within the department.

  • Interfaces with all levels of Casino, to provide general departmental information as necessary.

  • Assists with special projects as needed.

  • Acts as a resource regarding departmental activities and operations for the entire department.

  • Responds to and consistently meets the needs of internal clients.

  • Supports and cultivates new ideas and methods to deliver business solutions.

  • Identifies ways to increase efficiencies or improve product or service.

  • Delivers assignments/projects on time and completes all aspects before delivering to internal clients.

  • Clearly communicates programs/services to necessary people, seeks their support and keeps them informed of changes that may impact the business. Keeps track of existing products/services and/or progress on new initiatives.

  • Prepares project plans that aid in moving project forward.

  • Stays up to date with the latest developments in the profession.

  • Develops skills to handle increasingly complex matters.

  • Complies with and upholds company expectations including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy.

  • Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure.

  • Uses SPOTLIGHT behaviors when encountering guests.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum of two to three years industry experience, with emphasis on administrative. Strong computer skills required proficient in Excel and Word. Strong organizational and communications skills required.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino

  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds

  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.

  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine, and photocopier.

  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
