Catholic Social Services works to provide services to New Americans, such as Immigrants and Refugees. Through the New Americans VISTA Program this is done primarily though volunteer recruitment and management.

With the assistance of the Administrator of Volunteer and Community Relations, the VISTA will provide help in all areas of the recruitment process for all sites within Catholic Social Services. The recruitment process involves a background check, interviewing and placing the volunteers in the organization 'sites.

Responsibilities The Pathway of Hope Case Manager and Community Resource Coordinator effectively manages a caseload of families who seek social service assistance and who qualify for participation in the Pathway of Hope program, as well as assists in providing social service assistance to individuals who seek assistance through the Kind Family Resource Center. As the Community Resource Coordinator, this person assists in providing social service assistance to individuals who seek assistance through the Kind Family Resource Center, including interviews, referrals, and direct assistance, as well as assists in planning and executing of community resource outreach events, such as Christmas Assistance, Back-to-School Assistance, Job Fairs, etc. Qualifications Case Manager must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a social service related field, preferably with previous case work or social service experience. Licensed Social Worker is a plus. Proficiency in the following personal computer software applications is required: Microsoft Office software. Understanding of Salvation Army terminology will be helpful. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every three years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
