The Hope Center Shift Supervisor is the on-site manager for operations at the Hope Center, overseeing volunteers and residents in the completion of assigned tasks, particularly in the food ministry. The role will quality control interactions with guests and be responsible for responding to all incidents or concerns during their shift. You can find more information about the Hope Center HERE.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as on-site supervisor of the Hope Center during a specific shift, offering consistent staff presence and a steadfast leadership model
  • Manage volunteers and residents by clearly communicating instructions and expectations for their work
  • Work with the Head Chef to maintain a team environment in the food ministry
  • Follow up on assigned tasks to ensure satisfactory completion
  • Assertively yet kindly address unmet expectations
  • Offer coaching for excellence in both food quality, personal interactions, and treatment of others
  • Actively reassign volunteers to different tasks within a shift as needed
  • Readily respond to all concerns and incidents on site, calling in help from other staff or emergency personnel as needed
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, professionalism, and health and safety guidelines
  • Cover volunteer tasks as needed including driving the van to pick up food from partner stores
  • Establish a daily communication strategy for handing off responsibility to the next ShiftSupervisor
  • Consult with Operations Manager and Ministry Manager about incidents or concerns withvolunteers, residents, neighbors, and guests
  • Maintain an open line of communication with Operations Manager for the management ofvolunteers and the health/sustainability of current arrangements and policies
  • Directly report to Operations Manager for all job duties, consulting with them about all thingsoutside of the Shift Supervisor job description

Requirements

  • Love for Jesus and his church
  • Will need to spend extended periods on feet
  • Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Able to develop good working relationships with a wide range of people (volunteers, vendors,staff, etc.)
  • Able to remain calm under pressure with the ability to think clearly and empathetically
  • Well organized with excellent spoken and written communication skills, as well as customer andclient management skills
  • Must possess a drivers license and have current car insurance

We're looking for someone to join our team as a Surgical Technician (PD) who: Assists the surgical team in the preparation of surgical procedures in the operating room. Prepares surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field, retracting and passing instruments, supplies and medications to surgeons during cases. Performs a variety of technical skills, including the maintenance of supplies. Essential Functions: * Prepares for each surgical case by accurately checking required supplies and equipment prior to case. Assembles appropriate supplies/equipment prior to operative procedures. Reviews equipment inventory for specialty as assigned. Sets up operative instrumeCollects data on assigned surgical cases by the unit based Performance Standards of Care. Cleans equipment and facilities as necessary. Performs housekeeping duties as requested. * Transports patients according to unit schedules and priorities. Provides clerical duties. * Completes instrument, sponge, needle and blade counts with the Registered Nurse (RN) according to established standards. * Sets up/maintains neat and orderly sterile field demonstrating careful attention to aseptic technique. Labels solutions according to established standards. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
