Homemaker & Nutrition Services Aide
Location: GlenFields & Orchard Estates

FTE: Week 1 & 2: 48 hours per 2-week pay period; Week 3 & 4: 40 hours per 2-3 week pay period
Wknd Rotation: Every Other
Responsibilities:
The Homemaker is responsible for a variety of duties that contribute to providing high-quality food services to GlenFields residents. This is a blended role with primary responsibilities from dietary and housekeeping in the household. Common tasks include meal service to our residents, mealtime cleanup and helping to maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and attractive household. The Homemaker demonstrates a willingness to provide the best possible service for the residents as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Homemaker works cooperatively with residents, co-workers, families, visitors, and volunteers to create a positive and pleasant environment for the residents. All Household staff are members of a self-directed team assigned to a household of 18 residents. Their purpose is to plan and coordinate resident care creating a home in order to help residents establish a sense of belonging, usefulness, and purpose in their daily lives.
The Nutrition Services Aide is responsible for a variety of duties to provide high quality, nutritious and attractive food to all our customers. Duties include preparing and serving trays to our patients via room service, will work in our cafeteria by serving our employees and guests as well as processing forms of payment through a computer-based cash register, and will also assist with food service clean-up. The Nutrition Services Aide works with co-workers to provide a safe and sanitary environment. Strong customer service attributes with willingness to provide best possible outcome for the consumer.
Qualifications:
Must be able to provide excellent customer service to our residents and their families.
A love for the geriatric population is a must.
Ability to multi-task, take direction and have the ability to work independently.
Must work efficiently with frequent interruptions while maintaining safety and sanitation requirements.
The Homemaker will receive on-the-job training in dietary and housekeeping duties. All Homemakers must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must work efficiently with frequent interruptions.
Ability to uphold patient/resident privacy is of upmost importance.
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
Basic computer knowledge required.
ServSafe certification is a plus.
Schedule:
This position works every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) from 6:30AM-3PM as a Homemaker, along with hours during the week as a Nutrition Services Aide.
