Employee offering support to all residents by providing general housekeeping duties, stocking necessary supplies, cooking, transporting items for cleaning or food service, and laundry duties. . All staff working for a particular unit is to focus on meeting the needs unique to that unit and provide support in making the unit function to meet resident needs. In other words if an employee is working on a one particular hall they would perform a variety of tasks not necessarily department oriented tasks such as dietary or laundry. This particular position, homemaker, involves housekeeping, laundry and dietary tasks which support the functioning of the resident unit.
Under supervision of facility Dietary Manager and or Administrator. Does not supervise others.
Provide housekeeping, laundry and dietary support.
Ability to cook breakfast for up to 20 residents.
Recognize and report in a timely manner any concerns to supervisor.
Support co-workers by providing assistance in housekeeping, laundry and dietary
Assemble all items necessary to cook meal in main kitchen and transport and set tables in preparation for meals with linens, dishes and silverware and glasses.
Report in timely manner any accidents or incidents involving residents, staff, visitors.
Clean kitchen area after meals so area is clean, organized and ready for future meals.
Washing dishes after meals which includes, preparing dishes for dishwasher, putting clean dishes away after meals which include lifting dish rack and putting dishes in storage area
Cleaning floors after meals which includes sweeping and vacuuming and moping area
Providing snacks for resident area by supplying cart and pushing cart room to room to offer snacks to residents.
Carrying resident food trays to rooms when resident requires delivery tray.
Laundering lines including putting linens in washer and dryer, removing and folding.
Cleaning kitchen areas such as washing out refrigerators, stoves, food warmer drawers sinks, Steam tables or other areas which require routine cleaning maintenance.
Routine cleaning of tables and chairs, baseboards and dining room area as scheduled or needed.
Writing menu on chalk board for resident viewing.
Minimal 16 years of age, ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors and co-workers.
Required to follow HIPPA guidelines and adhere to confidentiality of resident information.
Position requires accuracy an ability to function in housekeeping, laundry and dietary duties.
Ability to follow supervisor's instructions in a safe and adequate manner while adhering to company and facility policies and procedures. p. We offer employees access to wages on demand
